Singrauli: ‘Vriksharopan Abhiyan-2024’ was launched under the visionary campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ under the aegis of the Ministry of Coal.
Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy started this campaign by planting a sapling at BCCL, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited in Dhanbad. Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and Chairman of Coal India Limited PM Prasad participated in this program.
NCL CMD B. Sairam, Director (Finance) Rajneesh Narayan, Director (Technical/Operations) Jitendra Malik, Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) Sunil Kumar Singh and senior officers witnessed this program by joining it virtually from NCL headquarters.
Plantation and distribution was done on a large scale under the “Vriksharopan Abhiyan” in NCL. Under which more than 1 lakh 11 thousand saplings were planted and more than 33 thousand fruit plants were distributed in about 44.68 acres of land in various projects of NCL.
The fruit plants distributed during the tree plantation campaign mainly included mango, pomegranate, lemon, amla, guava, banana, jamun, jackfruit etc.
